    <title>The development of local food as a soft power of the community in Aranyaprathet sub-district, Aranyaprathet district, Sa Kaeo province</title>

    <summary type="text">Title: The development of local food as a soft power of the community in Aranyaprathet sub-district, Aranyaprathet district, Sa Kaeo province

Abstract: This research aims to 1) study local food in Aranyaprathet subdistrict, Aranyaprathet district, Sa Kaeo&#xD;
province, 2) study opinions on local food in Aranyaprathet subdistrict, Aranyaprathet district, and 3) develop&#xD;
local food in Aranyaprathet subdistrict. This qualitative research was conducted using interviews observation&#xD;
and focus group discussions. Data collection tools included interview forms and focus group discussion&#xD;
topics. The study participants were residents of Aranyaprathet subdistrict, Aranyaprathet district, Sa Kaeo&#xD;
province. A probability sampling technique was used to select 30 participants. The results of the study&#xD;
found that 1) local food of the Aranyaprathet subdistrict community Aranyaprathet District Sa Kaeo Province&#xD;
Influenced by various cultures Because the area is located on the Thai-Cambodian border, the local&#xD;
population includes Thais, Laotians, Vietnamese, Cambodians, and Chinese living together. Local food&#xD;
therefore combines the food cultures of all five nations. Examples of local food from the Aranyaprathet&#xD;
subdistrict community include Vietnamese noodles, coconut milk noodles, Khmer orange soup, glass&#xD;
noodle salad, nam nueng, Khmer papaya salad, etc. 2) Opinions about local food of the Aranyaprathet&#xD;
subdistrict community. It was found that the food that people in the community eat the most are&#xD;
Vietnamese noodles, namnueng, and coconut milk noodles. 3) Development of local food of the&#xD;
Aranyaprathet subdistrict community. It was found that the development guidelines include preserving and&#xD;
perpetuating local wisdom. Collection of traditional recipes Passing on knowledge to the new generation&#xD;
organize activities to promote learning Organize food tourism routes organize cooking demonstration&#xD;
activities Developing local food in the Aranyaprathet subdistrict community is important. Help unique&#xD;
communities generate income. and attracting tourists as well as making people in the community feel&#xD;
proud and cherish local food to remain with the community forever.</summary>

Abstract: This research aims to 1) study the knowledge of local wisdom for making Krasang paste for the Ban&#xD;
Khok Ta Duang community, Thap Thai Subdistrict, Ta Phraya District, Sa Kaeo Province. 2) study the&#xD;
knowledge management model for local wisdom for making Krasang paste for the Ban Khok Ta community.&#xD;
Duang, Thap Thai Subdistrict, Ta Phraya District, Sa Kaeo Province 3) Analyze the results after managing&#xD;
knowledge of local wisdom in making Krasang chili paste in the Ban Khok Ta Duang community, Thap Thai&#xD;
Subdistrict, Ta Phraya District, Sa Kaeo Province. The study method used a qualitative study. The target&#xD;
group is 15 people, including community leaders and elderly people in the community. folk philosopher&#xD;
and villagers of Ban Khok Ta Duang community Data were collected through participant observation and&#xD;
in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed using content analysis. The results of the study found that 1)&#xD;
knowledge of local wisdom in making Krasang chili paste in the Ban Khok Ta Duang community reflect Ban&#xD;
Khok Ta Duang Community, Thap Thai Subdistrict, Ta Phraya District, Sa Kaeo Province There is local wisdom&#xD;
in making Krasang paste that has been passed down for many generations, using "Krasang," a local herb that&#xD;
has a sour taste. It is the main ingredient mixed with spices, herbs and local vegetables. The Kasang chili&#xD;
paste recipe consists of 8 ingredients: 1) Fresh Krasang 2) Bird's eye chilli 3) Garlic 4) Shallot 5) Dried shrimp&#xD;
6) Salt 7) Fish sauce 8) Palm sugar. This recipe focuses on the intense spiciness of the chili paste. It has the&#xD;
aroma of chilli, red onion, garlic and fresh coriander. Villagers like to eat it alongside fresh or boiled wild&#xD;
vegetables. With hot steamed rice. 2) The model for managing knowledge of local wisdom in making Krasang&#xD;
chili paste for the Ban Khok Ta Duang community consists of 5 steps: 2.1) Collect data, interview experts&#xD;
2.2) Analyze data 2.3) Develop learning media Develop the process 2.4) Publish and publicize, disseminate&#xD;
media, public relations. Organize activities to promote learning and 2.5) evaluate, develop and improve&#xD;
efficiency. 3) analyze results that occur after knowledge management. The wisdom of making Nam Prik&#xD;
Krasang has been preserved and passed down. Community members earn income from producing and&#xD;
selling Krasang chili paste, resulting in an exchange of knowledge between communities.</summary>

Abstract: Effective English pronunciation has been presented as a key factor for successful communication&#xD;
and it is a challenge of English as a foreign language learners. This study aimed to explore the instructional&#xD;
approaches in a phonetics course and investigate the problematic consonant sounds faced by the first-year&#xD;
students majoring in English for Communication at a university of Technology in a Thai university. Research&#xD;
instruments are survey questionnaires and pronunciation tests. The findings conclude that reading phonetic&#xD;
symbols and transcriptions aids correct pronunciation and increase students’ confidence. The problematic&#xD;
consonant sounds are /θ/and /z/. The implication of this study can be applied into pedagogical approaches&#xD;
to design and assign instructional resources for enhancing pronunciation training. This study has certain&#xD;
limitations of the small number of participants and the focus on consonant sounds in the pronunciation&#xD;
test. Therefore, future research should include a larger number of participants and consider pronunciation&#xD;
testing of word stress and sentence stress.</summary>

    <title>Intercultural Communication Strategies of Chinese Students Studying in Thailand: A Case Study of Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University</title>

    <summary type="text">Title: Intercultural Communication Strategies of Chinese Students Studying in Thailand: A Case Study of Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate the intercultural communication strategies of Chinese&#xD;
students in Thailand. The participants were 41 Chinese students who were studying English for&#xD;
Communication, Semester 2 of 2023 at Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University. This study applied mixedmethods research approaches. Quantitative data was collected from the intercultural communicative&#xD;
competence self-assessment, and analyzed by mean and standard deviation. Qualitative data were&#xD;
collected from interviews and classroom observation. Thematic content analysis (Anderson, 1998) was&#xD;
utilized in analyzing the qualitative data. Findings revealed that the students’ intercultural communication&#xD;
competence (ICC) was considered high. However, two main obstacles to ICC emerged including English&#xD;
abilities and knowledge of Thai culture. The strategies Chinese students used in communication with Thai&#xD;
teachers were body language of raising hands together with speaking Thai and English and also using&#xD;
translating applications. To specify, students use strategies such as using gestures, raising their hands to&#xD;
request repetition, or slower speech from the interlocutor. However, if the communication remains&#xD;
unsuccessful, students may turn to translation applications to achieve successful communication in&#xD;
addressing communication problems that arise. Regarding the participants’ suggestions about activities&#xD;
promoting their intercultural communication competence, they recommended including basic Thai and&#xD;
English language training, providing cultural exchange activities, assigning Thai advisors, and also arranging&#xD;
Thai buddies.</summary>
